Paula Deen Helps “Cut The Fat” While Dancing Her Way To A Healthier Lifestyle
Celebrity chef Paula Deen is a star in the world of cooking. And now she's also got the entertainment world buzzing as a member of the 2015 cast of the popular TV show, "Dancing With The Stars."
While she's dancing across America's television screens week after week, Paula will also be making time to discuss her newest cookbook. Hoping to inspire foodies to cut back on high calorie favorites, her book demonstrates ways to "cut the fat" from recipes without sacrificing flavor.
Deen has reinvented some of America's favorite recipes for Paula Deen Cuts the Fat: 250 Favorite Recipes All Lightened Up. She's substituted low-fat ingredients, replacing sugar with honey, and reducing her signature ingredient, butter, by half. She recently told People magazine that she "created 200 amazing light recipes. Plus, I cut the calories from 50 of my favorite classic dishes. The best part is that the same delicious southern taste remains." Yum.
The book is just one of the many things you'll find at the Paula Deen Store which opened on the 21st avenue side (Southwest corner) of Broadway at the Beach in July. While you're there, be sure to check out the other unique Paula Deen merchandise, including accessories, cookware, apparel, recipe mixes, food, gifts and more.
Deen has even created a line of Bag Lady Foundation merchandise. When you buy something with the Foundation's name on it, you'll be contributing to Deen's efforts to provide hope, inspiration and support to women and families in times of need.
