Join In "A Very Broadway Christmas" Celebration December 5

It's time to get in the holiday spirit!

Come to Broadway at the Beach on Saturday, December 5 for "A Very Broadway Christmas." The sights and sounds of the holidays will be filling the air, as we celebrate the start of the Christmas season. Bring the whole family for a full day of free entertainment, childrens' activities and more!

How often do you and the family get to have "Breakfast with Santa?" He'll be stopping by both Ripley's Aquarium and Hard Rock Cafe on the morning of December 5, and both locations plan to serve up lots of goodies.

Ripley's Aquarium will have seatings that day at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Both Santa and Ripley's mascot, Sharkee, will be there to greet the kids, and admission to the aquarium is included with breakfast. After feasting on scrambled eggs, waffles, sausage, bacon and more, the family can wander throughout Ripley's "Festival of Trees," the largest holiday tree display in South Carolina. Twenty new trees have been added this year, and more than 75 uniquely decorated holiday trees will be on display throughout the aquarium.

December 5 is just the first of three Saturdays for "Breakfast with Santa" at Hard Rock Cafe. Kids can visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. There's one seating from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for the full, hot, breakfast buffet. All kids 10 and younger will receive a free admission ticket to WonderWorks (valid with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket). On December 12 and 19, Santa and Mrs. Claus will return to Hard Rock Cafe for two "Breakfast with Santa" seatings (8 a.m. and 10 a.m.).

At 11 a.m., the "Ripley's Attractions Myrtle Beach Holiday Parade," begins near Hard Rock Cafe®. The parade will wind around Broadway at the Beach, ending near WonderWorks™.

From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. the Center Court at Broadway will come alive with music and a variety of kids' activities.

But the most exciting part of the day happens at 6 p.m. when Broadway's tree lighting celebration begins. Hosted by WBTW's chief meteorologist, Frank Johnson, and news anchor, Meghan Miller, it will feature performers from Legends In Concert and the Palace Theatre. The Carolina Freestyle Cloggers and other entertainers will also perform. There are even a few surprises planned for the audience.

The holiday celebration wraps up at 8 p.m. with colorful fireworks over Lake Broadway.

Join us on December 5 for "A Very Broadway Christmas." It's a great way to get in the holiday spirit!
