Celebrate The Week Of July 4th At Broadway At The Beach

Time to celebrate! The best week of the summer is finally here. July 4th marks the high point of the vacation season across America.

At Broadway at the Beach, we're ready to help you make lasting memories throughout the July 4th week. This year, our Independence Day blast stretches over three days (July 2-4) and includes free concerts and other entertainment, as well as awesome fireworks shows on not just one night, but two.

Those who cruise into town earlier can start celebrating with Family Dive In Movie Night at Myrtle Waves Water Park at Broadway at the Beach on Wednesday, July 1st. A DJ warms up guests with games and prizes before a family-friendly movie begins at 6:30 p.m. Guests arriving after 4 p.m. can get in for just $12.99 each plus tax. Admissions purchased before 4 p.m. include the Family Dive In Movie Night event.

When Thursday, July 2nd rolls around, America's birthday party shifts into high gear among the shops, attractions and restaurants around Lake Broadway.

Each day from July 2nd through July 4th, a jam-packed lineup of free entertainment will feature juggling comedians, engaging musicians, costumed characters, face painters and more.

At 7:30 p.m. each night, it's free concert time in Celebrity Square. First up on July 2nd is the Pizzaz Band, bringing a little bit of Country and a little bit of Rock n' Roll. On July 3rd, it's time to dance to the booty-shakin' music of Chocolate Chip & Company. On July 4th, The Mark Roberts Band will be playing your favorite dance songs, along with party anthems, Rock n' Roll, Funk and Country Rock.

No Independence Day celebration would be complete without a fireworks show, and at Broadway, we'll have two. On July 3rd, our regularly-scheduled Friday night fireworks show dances over Lake Broadway at 10 p.m. It's the warm up for our fantastic 10 p.m. July 4th fireworks show, sponsored by Helicopter Adventures™.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to Broadway at the Beach and have additional free parking available on July 4th after 5 p.m. at TicketReturn.com Field (the Pelicans Stadium) across from Broadway.

10 Things Kids Love At Broadway At The Beach

Kids love coming to Broadway at the Beach.

From all-day experiences like Myrtle Waves Water Park and Broadway Grand Prix to specialty shops, yummy eateries, water rides around our lake, the interactive fountain, free entertainment and fireworks, Broadway delivers a lot of opportunities to have kid-friendly fun.

Here are just ten of the many favorite things kids love to do at Broadway:

Kids find WonderWorks amazing. The delightful upside down house is a place where kids get an education while enjoying over 100 entertaining interactive experiences. The ropes course inside WonderWorks lets kids safely climb high up into the building's ceiling, then they can go outside to Soar & Explore for an even bigger ropes challenge and ziplining over Lake Broadway.

Ripley's Aquarium enables kids to learn about all kinds of sea life from sharks to stingrays to jellies in the all new "Planet Jellies" exhibit. It's an interactive, multimedia playground that also features dive shows, mermaid shows, the stingray experience, sleeping with the sharks and more.

Kids love dinosaurs. At Dinosaurs: The Exhibition, kids can get up close to life- size, authentic-looking animatronic dinosaurs lurking within scientifically accurate habitats. Kids like uncovering fossils in the Dig A Dino exhibit, checking out the Dino Movie Room, playing in the T-Rex Fun House, and climbing aboard the Ride-A-Dino.

It's no surprise that amusement rides always rank high on a kid's list of favorite things to do. At Broadway, there's action-packed fun at Pavilion Park. Three areas offer rides for little ones, as well as thrill rides for bigger kids. From the carousel to the Cliff Hanger, there's lots of fun here.

Let the quest begin! Kids love choosing their own magic wand and entering the enchanted fantasy world of MagiQuest. This interactive live-action game challenges children as they attempt to solve medieval-style mysteries while outwitting pixies and sorcerers.

Magical beasties can also be found at Dragon's Lair Fantasy Golf where a 30-foot, fire-breathing dragon stands watch. Kids can take on other family members as they tee it up for a game of mini-golf. This is one course that offers both fun and adventure.

Backstage Mirror Maze is a favorite because of the mind-bending challenge it presents. There's fun for the entire family in the infinite reflections, surprising corners, dead ends and continuous circles. Kids also love playing in "The Vault," a laser maze that takes players back in time to participate in a historic bank heist.

A special favorite among boys is RIDEMAKERZ, a place where little boys of all ages can roll up their sleeves and channel their inner grease monkeys. Customization of scale model cars with interchangeable accessories is at the heart of this experience. From building on monster truck platforms to adding radio control, this is where the high-octane fun begins.

Little girls have a favorite too, and it's Sparkles. Girls come to this imaginative, experience-driven shop to indulge their glamour fantasies. Sparkles specializes in turning girls into princesses, rock stars, pop stars, or glam girls with makeovers that include glamorous hair styles, eye shadow, lip gloss, sparkly nail painting, and more.

All young kids seem to love Build-A-Bear Workshop®, a magical place where stuffed animals are transformed into cherished pals. The kids are in charge here, choosing their own animals, then personalizing them with outfits and accessories. Best of all, they can take their new friends home, along with lasting memories of their Myrtle Beach vacation.

After hitting the beach or before, be sure to bring the kids to Broadway at the Beach, the epicenter of fun in Myrtle Beach!

On Saturday, June 20 from 4 to 6 p.m., join us in Center Court for a little fun in the sun. We'll have character appearances; free balloons and free face painting for the kids, a spin wheel of prizes, where everyone is a winner, and if you're one of the first 200 people to attend, you'll get a free candy pack from our friends at It'Sugar. Dinosaurs Descend On Myrtle Beach

Get ready. They will be jumping right off the huge, 3D screen at Broadway at the Beach at 10:50 p.m. on June 11.

"They"are the T-Rex, Triceratops and other dinosaurs coming to Myrtle Beach in the new film Jurassic World.

The 3D version of this much-anticipated movie starts its run at Carmike's Big D auditorium at Broadway that day. From the roars of prehistoric creatures coming through a powerful surround sound system to 20-foot-tall dinosaurs filling up the three-story screen with their ferocity, you'll feel like you're right inside the movie.

The much-anticipated follow up to the Jurassic Park movie trilogy that launched 22 years ago will start showing on smaller screens at Carmike Cinemas at Broadway on June 12. However, if you're a real dinosaur fan and want to get up close and personal with these creatures, Thursday, June 11 at 10:50 p.m. is a date worth circling on your calendar.

You can also experience dinosaurs outside the theater when you visit Broadway this summer. In Heroes Harbor near Ripley's Aquarium, the biggest creatures ever to roam the earth are waiting at "Dinosaurs: The Exhibition." That's where you'll find full-scale, realistic animatronic models lurking among replicas of plant and animal species that shared their environments more than 65 million years ago.

Fascinating and educational with its compelling scientific story of a vital period in Earth's history, this exhibition also has elements of the kind of fun that the fictional Jurassic theme park was going for 22 years ago.. Different adventure zones such as "Dig a Dino" allow children to become junior paleontologists searching for dinosaur fossils. "Ride a Dino" offers a rare and extraordinary opportunity to climb aboard and ride a T-Rex or Triceratops.

It's the summer of the dinosaurs for Myrtle Beach and Broadway at the Beach. Take a trip to the Jurassic world onscreen and then bring the film to life with your own journey among the creatures in Dinosaurs: The Exhibition.

Both deliver fun of prehistoric proportions.
