Legends In Concert Set To Open This Week!

Legends In Concert will open on Thursday, March 17th at their newly renovated, 600-seat theatre located adjacent to Planet Hollywood at Broadway at the Beach. The March 17th opening lineup will include Jay Leno, The Blues Brothers, Elvis, Dolly Parton, Little Richard and Michael Jackson.

The live entertainment theater will introduce several features to the area for the first time, including a projected stage with seating surrounding three sides; retractable chandeliers and production lighting; side stage monitors for close-up views from every seat; and programmable colored LED lighting accents in the lobby. Additionally, there will be V.I.P. table booths available.

COME CHECK OUT THREE LOCAL BANDS AS THEY BATTLE FOR THEIR CHANCE TO PERFORM AT HARD ROCK CALLING THIS SUMMER! The battle begins here in Myrtle Beach with a total of 9 bands competing on three nights of competition, February 20, February 27 and March 6. Each night one band is declared the winner of that round and goes on to perform at the Cafe finals on March 13. From there, it's the next round…the winning band's music is sent to Orlando Florida where it is judged by a panel of music industry professionals and celebrities along with the winning bands from the other Cafe's in our region. Then onto the online voting at The ultimate prize is an all expense paid trip to London, England and a chance to perform at HARD ROCK CALLING, a 3-day music festival in June 2011.

Celebrate the 10th Annual KidzTime Festival

Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, SC will host the 10th Annual KidzTime Festival presented by Wendy's, on Saturday, February 19. The festival, presented by Wendy's, will take place next to the Broadway at the Beach Visitor's Center, under the big, heated tent in the Broadway Commons area and will feature over 30 vendors offering a variety of kid-friendly games, interactive activities, performances, mascot appearances and giveaways. Live performances will be featured throughout the day that include entertainment from Dino Capone's School of Rock, martial arts demonstrations by Karate World and Christian Tae Kwon Do, a presentation by the Socastee High School Show Choir and more. Attendees of the festival will also be treated to a visit from Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants and his best friend Patrick, sponsored by Time Warner Cable.

All kids who come to the festival and receive a free wristband will be eligible to receive on-site specials and discounts throughout the day at participating Broadway at the Beach merchants. These merchants will have special markers outside their businesses showing their participation.

"KidzTime Festival is an exciting, fun-filled event appealing to every member of the family," said Melissa Armstrong, Broadway at the Beach. "This event has been a great success each and every year and it is a wonderful way for families to spend the day together, doing something enjoyable."

The KidzTime Festival draws thousands of people every year and is being presented by Wendy's. Participating sponsors include Time Warner Cable, Star 92.1, Parent News and News Channel 15.
