Fireworks Soar All Summer Long At Broadway

Fireworks, whether they are a symbol of freedom on Independence Day, a memory of a first sneaked kiss with your junior high sweetheart or watching them with your children for the first time, they are the highlight of the sky every summer at Broadway at the Beach!

Here's a little history of the summertime favorite; many historians believe fireworks originated in China at some point between 600 and 900 A.D. when Chinese alchemist were trying to find an elixir for immortality! Okay, now let's fast forward more than a millennium. Fireworks may not have any immortality fix, but they are always the perfect ending to a day spent with friends and family!

This summer, Broadway at the Beach along with our friends at Helicopter Adventures will be lighting up the sky with a Fireworks Extravaganza every Tuesday now through Tuesday, August 29th and then every Friday starting Friday, June 23rd through Friday, August 18th all at 10pm (weather permitting of course!).

Summertime isn't the only time fireworks will rise above Lake Broadway. Click here to view when we will be shooting fireworks this fall and holiday season!

So whether it's winter, spring, summer or fall, we hope you make a date night or family night out and make memories under the stars and fireworks of Broadway at the Beach!

Posted in Broadway at the Beach, Featured Posts

Whether he is a father, grandfather, new father, stepfather, dog father, cat father or a loved father figure, this Sunday is for him! We're talking about Father's Day 2017! Here are some ideas to celebrate the male mentor of your family at Broadway at the Beach!

1.) A Gift For Gramps

There are plenty of places to peruse through at Broadway, but when it comes to a special gift for dad, let us suggest going the sweet route! Unless he's a strict vegetarian, all dads would love a box of delicious Beef Jerky from none other than the Beef Jerky Store. Papa Bear got a sweet tooth? There's nothing the sweet taste of freshly made bear claws or pralines from River Street Sweets can't fix! Want a treat the whole family can enjoy with dad, then head on over to Kilwins for a divine ice cream cake specifically designed for dad! Don't forget, we also have some of dad's favorite shops including Harley-Davidson, M.R. Ducks and Ron Jon Surf Shop!

2.) Fun Time With Father

Want to have some friendly competition with your ol' man this Sunday? There's no better place to go head to head with a heated battle of pac-man, billiards or shooting hoops than at Dave & Buster's! If your dad has the need for speed, make some memories with him on Broadway's jetboat rider or get behind the wheel of go carts at Broadway Grand Prix!

3.) Dinner With Dad

Whether you're throwing a few brews back at Liberty Brewery & Grill or American Tap House, you're grabbing a burger at Wahlburgers or Johnny Rockets, you're crackin' jokes and crab legs at Joe's Crab Shack or over comfort food at Paula Deen's Family Kitchen, treat the man to something suited strictly for his tastes. There are plenty to choose from at Broadway!

So whether you say Happy Father's Day with a gift, a meal or fun and games or with your own family's traditions, we hope everyone has a great Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day from Broadway!

Rock, Pop & Roll at Legends In Concert

It's a little bit country, a little bit rock n' roll, a little bit red hot, a little bit of the blues, a little bit new age, a little bit retro and it's always legendary. For years, the tribute artists of Legends in Concert have wowed the crowds of Myrtle Beach and this summer, they are turning up the heat with their new lineup that will have you dancing in your seats and moving to the beats from the world's most iconic stars.

You'll go crazy when Tribute Artist, Frank Moore, hits the stage as Prince. From the high notes to the electric dance moves, you'll be taken back to before 1999 and nothing will compare to your memories listening to the sound of Purple Rain and Little Red Corvette.

From the smooth moves of Prince to the rhythm and blues of the Blues Brothers, the show takes a soulful turn as tribute artists Dan Meisner & Russ Peterson entertain in their black ties and black shades for the second act. They'll have you shouting as the soul men of music give some lovin' in a legendary performance.

Following the duo that can't turn you loose, tribute artist Katie Steele takes center stage and will take you to the edge of glory as Lady Gaga. You'll be enduring a bad romance and the paparazzi as she performs the star's top charting hits. So be sure to bring your poker face and just dance!

After the applause of Lady Gaga, it's time for intermission making for a perfect time to grab some delicious popcorn and a drink and cruise through the Legends in Concert gift shop! But don't take too long as you don't want to miss the rock n' roll of the second half of the show!

With your popcorn and drink in hand, you'll want to walk this way back to your seat as tribute artist Chris VanDahl will have you enduring some sweet emotions as Steven Tyler. You and the entire audience will come together and dream on to the tunes of Aerosmith's greatest hits.

This brings us to the final act of the legendary concert as Elvis tribute artist Travis Powell serenades the crowds with suspicious minds as he does things his way. There's one thing for sure, you can't stop loving the moves and music of the King of Rock n' Roll.

From the classics of the King of rock to the new styles from the reigning Queen of pop to everything in between, there is something for everyone in this summer's new lineup. So be sure to make plans for a night to remember, because you'll never forget the legends of Legends in Concert!
