Restaurant Week: Broadway Style

Posted in Broadway at the Beach, Featured Posts, Dining

If you're like us, you remember being told by a parent, "you need to eat your vegetables" or "you have to eat something" or "you can't go outside until you finish your plate". Nowadays, it doesn't take any parental persuasion to get us to chow down during our daily cuisine routine. Whether it's three square meals a day, grabbing something to go or snacking throughout the day, what we put on our plate often serves as tasty comfort to our otherwise hectic (and hungry) schedule.

However, picking a place the whole family or group can agree on can be as divisive as asking a group of NFL fans to agree upon who the greatest quarterback of all time is; but we've got something at Broadway at the Beach we believe we can all look forward to; the first Broadway Restaurant Week featuring some of your favorites as well as a few new Broadway venues!

Beginning Friday, February 3rd through Sunday, February 12th, join us and experience new menu items or enjoy some of your favorite go to dishes at participating Broadway restaurants. From American classics at Johnny Rockets, Hard Rock Café, Liberty Brewery & Grill and Good Time Charley's to savory seafood selections at Joe's Crab Shack and Landry's Seafood to stepping outside your cuisine comfort zone with the unique creations of Extreme Pizza, American Tap House, Rooster's Restaurant & Bar and Wahlburgers; Broadway Restaurant Week has something different for everyone in your party every night of the week.

Broadway Restaurant Week can also serve as a cure for those whom suffer from what we like to call a "restaurant rut" where the common symptoms are eating the same food at the same place every time you dine outside your own dinner table. Let Broadway Restaurant Week be your excuse to try somewhere and something different as you dine for lunch and dinner with us.

So grab your friends, family and if possible, that parent you hid your vegetables from as a child and experience the inaugural Broadway Restaurant Week where there's always a seat waiting for you.

Blues, Gospel & Rock and Roll: The King Lives at Broadway at the Beach

What is your favorite type of music?

Who is your favorite musical artist?

What station is your car radio tuned to?

It's safe to say if you were to ask these three simple questions to 100 people, you would easily receive 100 different responses.

Some may be more partial to a country twang or a riveting rock rift, while others may want a rhythm to move their feet to. Whether they prefer the soothing, smoky sound of the blues, powerful gospel ballads or rocking out with their air guitar, there is one LEGEND that is likely to have influenced them all. A musical icon, he was one of the first to transcend genres, show off signature moves and introduce us to a little something called Rock and Roll. If you haven't already guessed it, we're talking about the man, the legend… the King, Elvis Presley.

Now, forty years after his death and in honor of what would have been Presley's 82nd birthday, Legends in Concert invites you to take a trip through his iconic career and life with ELVIS LIVES, "THE ULTIMATE ELVIS TRIBUTE ARTIST EVENT." The sixth annual ELVIS LIVES tour returns to Myrtle Beach from Graceland for the kick off of its 2017 touring season. Beginning Friday, January 6th, the three day ELVIS LIVES event is a journey across Elvis' life featuring winners and finalists from the Elvis Presley Enterprise annual worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest, each representing Elvis during his four eras: the 1950s, 1960s, his movie career and concert years. It's a show for Elvis fans of yesteryear and today as it gives us a glimpse of how one man changed the face, dance moves and the sounds of music forever.

As you plan the first official weekend of 2017, why not add a little nostalgia to your night out, or just join your fellow Elvis groupies and have a night you'll never want to forget!

So if you ain't nothing' but a hound dog and are a little lonesome tonight but you can't help falling in love, don't head to the heartbreak hotel, but instead grab your blue suede shoes, get all shook up and enjoy a night where Elvis Lives once again at Legends in Concert at Broadway at the Beach.
