There's nothing quite like a summer night at Broadway at the Beach!

See the smiles as friends and family make magical memories with loved ones. Hear the joy and laughter as the carousel spins and guests enjoy feeding the fish. Smell the salt air from the evening breeze. Taste the homemade fudge, candies, popcorn, ice cream and other summer time treats. And touch your loved ones hand as you stroll beneath the moon, the stars and the vibrant lights of the Broadway 360 Observation Wheel.

We know, this summer is a little bit different for us all, but summer just wouldn't be the same at Broadway at the Beach without some of our favorite summertime performers! Like you, they are family and we are super excited to welcome them back!

Beginning Monday, June 29^th and continuing through Sunday, September 6^th the streets of Broadway will come alive with strolling entertainers nightly!

Monday through Friday, the one and only Mr. Nigel will energize Broadway with Mr. Nigel's Strolling Dance Party! Follow the fun starting at 8 p.m. on The Avenue. The strolling dance party will continue along the walkways of Broadway at the Beach until 10 p.m.

And what's that we see up there, why it's the talented team of costumed stilt walkers from Over the Moon Productions! They'll be towering above the crowd seven nights a week beginning at 7 p.m. In addition to the stilt walking performers, on select night, a juggling unicyclist and comedic duo will join in the strolling fun! Plus on Saturday and Sunday nights, an LED Strolling Parade will light the way beginning at 9 p.m.!

The nights definitely shine brighter at Broadway at the Beach, so bring out the family, bring out your friends and spend an evening, or two, or all week with us as we celebrate the summer season!

1995… the year of mainstream media, pop icons and blockbuster hits. Seinfeld and ER reigned supreme on prime time television and Braveheart, Apollo 13 and Toy Story dominated the silver screen. And who can forget Seal's "Kiss from a Rose" sweeping the Grammys?

For us, 1995 will always be remembered as the year Broadway at the Beach opened its doors and 25 years later, it still stands as the place where millions choose to spend time making memories and creating smiles each and every year! Through expansions and renovations, Broadway at the Beach may not look exactly like it did a quarter a century ago, but we're dawning on a New Era at Broadway where the best is yet to come!

We're not blowing out any candles just yet, however, we are giving away prizes every week to celebrate with you! The best part about it (besides the prizes, of course) is you can share your memories for a chance to win.

For us, it doesn't matter if you are one of the single ladies (or gents), if you're lucky in love or you're in the mood for a fun night out with family and friends, you can celebrate February 14^th at Broadway at the Beach!

For the couple looking for a little romance, an elegant evening of fine coastal cuisine awaits at Landry's Seafood or get your favorite group together and fire up the night at Yamatos Japanese Steakhouse!

Is your Valentine's Day a family affair? What says love like the classics of Johnny Rockets including burgers, fries and especially milkshakes to be enjoyed by the young and young at heart? Or, make some wagers and challenge your kiddos and crew to some friendly competition at Dave & Buster's!

Need to sweeten the day, but not really wanting to get that traditional box of chocolates? Grab a freshly made treat at any of our lite bite eateries including River Street Sweets, Kilwins and Wee R Sweetz. There, you can pick up homemade chocolates, taffy and other creations that will help end the date on a sweet note.

For all the gal pals (and guys), enjoy a night of wine tasting at any of our wineries or sample some moonshine at Kentucky Mist Distillery and then laugh as you walk through and grab a few funny items at It'Sugar or Man Cave!

This blog won't have us diving 10,000 leagues under the sea, but we can go anywhere between three feet and fifteen feet deep looking at the variety of fish and fowl that now call Lake Broadway home!

Before we look at the inhabitants of the lake, how did the lake come to be?

The manmade Lake Broadway was completed in spring of 1995 and took more than eight months to complete and spans 100 feet across and one mile in diameter.

Now to the fish & Fowl Facts…

Since its beginning, several species of fish fill the lake located in the center of Broadway at the Beach including Israeli Carp, White Amur, Bream, Catfish and crawfish. Yes, we said crawfish!

Above the water, ducks, cranes, seagulls, egrets and other birds have made Lake Broadway their favorite hangout spot!

And let's just say, when you're feeding the fish from feeders, the birds are eager to catch a treat as well!

So the next time you're walking over the bridges of Broadway, be sure to look out for the swimmers below or see the wings flying in for their daily visit and homestead in Lake Broadway at Broadway at the Beach!

The holidays have come and gone and although it is often called the most wonderful time of the year, for many of us, it's also the most hectic time of year. So now that the New Year is here and you've settled back into your post-holiday regular routine, now is the perfect time to rest, relax and rejuvenate and at Broadway at the Beach, we have the perfect places to do all three!
