Tax Free Shopping This Weekend!
It's hard to believe it's time for Back-To-School shopping, but alas the little ones will be heading back to class soon. To help parents with their annual back-to-school shopping and save them some cash, several states offer Tax Free Holiday Weekends, including South Carolina.
South Carolina's Tax Free Weekend is schedule to begin tomorrow and continue through Sunday, August 4th at midnight. The tax free savings apply to the following categories:
- Computers, Computer Equipment & Computer Software
- Clothing & Apparel
- Footwear
- Accessories
- School & Art Supplies
In addition to saving 6% which is the South Carolina sales tax rate, many retail establishments will be offering additional savings through sales and special deals.
So let the Back-To-School shopping adventure begin for backpacks, lunch boxes, paper, pencils, crayons, clothes, shoes and everything needed to get the kids ready for the new school year!
