MYRTLE BEACH'S BROADWAY AT THE BEACH WELCOMES NEW MERCHANTS FOR 2017, INCLUDING PAULA DEEN'S FAMILY KITCHEN AND DAVE & BUSTER'S

New Specialty Shops And Experiences Planned For The Experiential Center That Trip Advisor Ranks Number One Out Of 116 Things To Do In Myrtle Beach

April 11 2017, Myrtle Beach, S.C. — Burroughs & Chapin has announced the opening of several new venues at Broadway at the Beach, South Carolina's number one tourist attraction (www.BroadwayattheBeach.com). The new merchants join the previously announced Dave & Buster's, the highly-anticipated restaurant and entertainment venue that is known for its chef-crafted menu, innovative cocktails, the latest games and ultimate sports viewing.

Paula Deen's Family Kitchen, a Southern, family-style, full-service restaurant is currently under construction. This dining experience will be located in the Charleston Boardwalk area on the 29th Avenue North side of Broadway at the Beach. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, it will feature Deen family recipes along with an outstanding view of Lake Broadway.

In addition, Carolina Ale House (also under construction) will be located next door to Legends In Concert. It will offer a vast menu of everything from appetizers, soups and salads to tacos, pizzas, burgers and wings.

A new attraction has recently opened in Pavilion Park West. It is a 118-foot-tall Ferris Wheel featuring 24 open-air gondolas, LED lighting and a fabulous view of Broadway at the Beach, as well as the surrounding area. The Ferris Wheel is open daily at 1 p.m. (weather permitting).

There are new specialty shops, too. Sand & Sun and a second Splash Fresh Bath & Body both recently opened in the Charleston Boardwalk area near Ripley's Aquarium. Sand & Sun features summer shoes for the entire family, including popluar brands like Rainbow and Sanuk. Splash Fresh Bath & Body features a variety of "smell good" items, including bath bombs, soaps, bubble bars, shower gels, shampoos, body lotions, hand and foot care, as well as other bath and shower products. In the New England Fishing Village, you'll find new additions Southern Connection and Flip Flop Factory. Southern Connection offers apparel, unique items for the home, accessories for the beach and more, and features brands like Simply Southern and 'Merican Proper. At Flip Flop Factory, you can design and make your own Flip Flops for the entire family.

A second Beef Jerky Store location recently opened near Ron Jon Surf Shop; it offers guests the opportunity to sample the many flavors and styles of jerky as well as purchase other non-jerky snacks.

Other specialty shops planning to open later this spring include Southern Candle Studio and Cariloha.

"Broadway at the Beach continues to bring new and exciting shopping, dining and entertainment experiences to the center," said Melissa Armstrong, marketing director at Burroughs & Chapin, parent company of Broadway at the Beach. "Our guests, many of whom visit with us each and every year, love exploring the fresh, new experiences added while continuing to enjoy their favorite Broadway at the Beach venues."

Other venues are updating their locations. King Kong Sushi is undergoing renovations with plans to reopen later this spring, and Christmas at the Beach just reopened after updates in its store. Gemini Boutique, specializing in fashion and featuring brands like TOMS, Alex & Ani, Vera Bradley and many others, recently moved to a new, larger space next to Liberty Brewery & Grill.
