SUMMER NIGHTS, FREE NIGHTLY ENTERTAINMENT SERIES, RETURNS TO BROADWAY AT THE BEACH IN MYRTLE BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA JUNE 2, 2017

Musicians Mr. Nigel And Shelley Sasser Are Returning, While Strolling Entertainers And Spontaneous Pop Up Shows Will Be Featured Throughout The Summer

May 23, 2017, Myrtle Beach, S.C. — Broadway at the Beach, South Carolina's number one tourist attraction, will host Summer Nights June 2 through September 3. This free, nightly entertainment series featuring live musical performances, street performers, character appearances and more is sponsored by Extreme Pizza and Helicopter Adventures.

Guests will experience reconnecting through music while enjoying Mr. Nigel, who is returning for his fourth year at Broadway at the Beach. He will perform in Center Court near Broadway at the Beach's Guest Services Center every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Returning for her third year at Broadway at the Beach is Shelley Sasser from Dino Capone's School of Rock. Shelley is a singer, guitarist and songwriter whose musical influences span all genres and she will be performing many well-known favorites Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Center Court.

Additional entertainment will feature princess and superhero character appearances on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. near Pavilion Park West. There will be face painting for kids near Center Court on Tuesday and Friday nights, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Costumed stiltwalkers, fire dancers, Ripley's Ruckus and the Conway Celtic Bagpipers will be strolling the complex on select nights all starting at 7 p.m.

Spontaneous "pop up" performances will occur throughout the season in Heroes Harbor on the stage near Margaritaville. Other entertainment including musical performances, balloon artists, and more will also appear in this area at various times during the summer.

Broadway at the Beach's weekly fireworks extravaganzas are also set to return every Tuesday night at 10 p.m., June 6 through August 29 and every Friday night, also at 10 p.m., June 23 through August 18. In addition, two special shows will be featured July 4 and September 3, both at 10 p.m. All fireworks are sponsored exclusively by Helicopter Adventures.
