Myrtle Beach, S.C. (Nov. 6, 2025) — Broadway at the Beach is set to host its annual Tree Lighting Celebration on Saturday, Nov. 15. This free event will feature holiday-themed live performances, followed by the lighting of the tree and a firework extravaganza over Lake Broadway.
Hosted by WPDE’s Ed Piotrowski and Jennifer Abney, this year’s show begins at 6 p.m. on the stage in the courtyard of The Hangout restaurant, and will feature performances by Socastee High School’s Socastee Singers, Broadway Theater, Carolina Youth Chorale, Legacy Dance Academy and Carolina Dance District.
Following the live performances, a surprise visitor from the North Pole will help light the tree, which is located over the lake next to Margaritaville.
To make the evening even more special, a firework extravaganza will light up the sky over Lake Broadway at 8 p.m.
Before the lighting celebration, Mr. Nigel’s Holiday Dance Party will take place from 2-4 p.m. in The Hangout’s courtyard and will feature complimentary face painting, character appearances, balloon tying stilt walkers, and more for the kids.
After the official tree lighting ceremony, the Broadway at the Beach tree will feature a synchronized music and light show every 30 minutes from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily throughout the holiday season.
Starting Saturday, Nov. 22 and every Saturday through Dec. 20, Santa Claus and his friends will be in Center Court from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. for visits and photos.
