SUMMER NIGHTS, FREE NIGHTLY ENTERTAINMENT SERIES, RETURNS TO BROADWAY AT THE BEACH BEGINNING JUNE 1, 2018

Strolling Entertainers, Dancing And Musical Performances, Fire Dancers, Costumed Stiltwalkers And More Will Be Featured Throughout The Summer

May 22, 2018, Myrtle Beach, S.C. — Myrtle Beach's most visited attraction, Broadway at the Beach, will feature Summer Nights June 1 through September 2. This free, nightly entertainment series offers live musical performances, street performers, character appearances and other live entertainment at various locations within Broadway at the Beach.

Mr. Nigel is returning for his fifth year, with his energetic dance party in Center Court near Broadway at the Beach's Guest Service Center. Mr. Nigel will perform Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday evenings from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Also taking place in Center Court, the kids will enjoy free face painting every Saturday and Sunday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and character appearances courtesy of The Character Company on Sunday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Along The Avenue, guests will be wowed nightly by costumed stiltwalkers and fire dancers from Over the Moon Productions. Plus, on the Heroes Harbor stage near Margaritaville, Next Level Showcase Productions will feature a variety of young singers performing Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Ripley's Ruckus will stroll the complex on Tuesday and Friday evenings starting at 7 p.m. and spontaneous "pop-up" musical and dancing performances will also take place at various times throughout the summer.

"We have a great entertainment lineup planned this summer at Broadway at the Beach and are thrilled to welcome several new performers from Next Level Showcase Productions, along with many who are returning, including Mr. Nigel who is back for his fifth year," said Melissa Armstrong, marketing director for Burroughs & Chapin. "Our summer entertainment adds another element of energy and fun for our guests to enjoy, enhancing their experience while creating summer memories they'll cherish."

Broadway at the Beach's weekly fireworks extravaganzas are also set to return at 10 p.m. every Tuesday night, June 5 through August 28, and every Friday night, June 22 through August 17. In addition, two special shows will be featured July 4 and September 2, both at 10 p.m. All fireworks are sponsored exclusively by Helicopter Adventures.
