Broadway At The Beach Tops Off The Summer Season Labor Day Weekend

Broadway at the Beach celebrates Labor Day with two full days of fun, Friday, August 30th and Saturday, August 31st. Enjoy several FREE, family-friendly events and activities including the finale of Coca-Cola Summer Nights and a fireworks extravaganza on Saturday night at 10pm.

Tax Free Shopping This Weekend!

It's hard to believe it's time for Back-To-School shopping, but alas the little ones will be heading back to class soon. To help parents with their annual back-to-school shopping and save them some cash, several states offer Tax Free Holiday Weekends, including South Carolina.

South Carolina's Tax Free Weekend is schedule to begin tomorrow and continue through Sunday, August 4th at midnight. The tax free savings apply to the following categories:

  • Computers, Computer Equipment & Computer Software
  • Clothing & Apparel
  • Footwear
  • Accessories
  • School & Art Supplies

In addition to saving 6% which is the South Carolina sales tax rate, many retail establishments will be offering additional savings through sales and special deals.

So let the Back-To-School shopping adventure begin for backpacks, lunch boxes, paper, pencils, crayons, clothes, shoes and everything needed to get the kids ready for the new school year! And don't forget Broadway at the Beach is a great resource for many of those back to school items. Oh How We Love Those Summer Nights!

Summer is a wonderful time of year, the kids are out of school and family vacations are in full swing, and no trip to Myrtle Beach is complete without a visit, or two, or three to Broadway at the Beach!

During the summer Broadway at the Beach presents Coca-Cola Summer Nights featuring some of the best and coolest FREE family style entertainment. Entertainment is nightly and includes live street performers, strolling acts, mascots, special appearances by the talented tribute artists from Legends In Concert and weekly fireworks extravaganzas, brought to you by our friends at Helicopter Adventures. In addition, Broadway at the Beach will feature several musical and dance groups as well as FREE face painting and balloon art periodically throughout the summer.

On Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights, guests are in for a real treat with Mr. Nigel & Allie from 7pm to 9pm. This duo will have everyone singing, dancing and clapping their hands to the beat of the music.

Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday nights, the Fire Circus Duo of Connor and Monica will intrigue and mesmerize with their feats of fire from 8pm to 10pm.

Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday the strolling hillbilly band Whacker Barrel will entertain with their toe tapping beats and on Wednesday and Friday night watch out for those statues, they just might be living…you never know when they might jump up and say "Gotcha"!

Tuesday nights are the traditional summer fireworks night at Broadway at the Beach with shows starting every Tuesday at 10pm. Plus new this year, guests will get to see not one, but two fireworks extravaganzas weekly, for a select number of weeks enjoy Friday night shows, also at 10pm.

So much to see and so much to do, including FREE nightly entertainment! It's no wonder Broadway at the Beach is one of South Carolina's most visited attractions and a must stop on any Myrtle Beach vacation.

Independence Day Shines at Broadway at the Beach

Broadway at the Beach celebrates Independence Day with several events and activities throughout the day leading up to the grand finale, an Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza at 10pm over Lake Broadway.

Several Broadway at the Beach merchants will also be getting into the Independence Day spirit with activities of their own, including Ripley's Aquarium who plans to open up their back deck to guests for a first-class view of the July 4th fireworks while serving free popcorn and soft drinks. You can also catch a free concert in Celebrity Square courtesy of the Marsha Morgan Band starting at 7:30pm.

A free shuttle, The Myrtle Beach Entertainment Express, is being provided by Coast RTA and includes two stops at Broadway at the Beach. One stop is located at the Guest Services Center on the 21st Avenue side of the property and the other is at Ripley's Aquarium, on the 29th Avenue side of the property. The entire route travels from 9th Avenue North to 21st Avenue North and up to Broadway at the Beach.

The 4th of July has come and gone, but Broadway at the Beach, South Carolina's largest festival entertainment complex, has a wide array of live entertainment and family activities planned throughout the month of July, both on property and at participating merchant locations.
