Special Events

We’ve got the What, When, Why, Where & Who of the Inaugural Burgers, Bites & Brews.

What:

Let us introduce the inaugural Burgers, Bites & Brews at Broadway at the Beach. You are invited as some of your favorite Broadway at the Beach eateries showcase their best foods and of course, battle it out in a burger competition. Once you arrive, you will want to get your Broadway Sampler food tickets from one of two ticket locations set up at either end of The Avenue. Tickets will be sold in $1 increments with food sampling prices ranging from 1 to 5 tickets each with all burger samples available for just 3 tickets each! Once you partake in the Broadway Sampler and try some of Broadway's best burgers, you can then cast your vote for the people's choice award as local celebrity judges determine this year's best Broadway Burger, sure to bring some bragging rights along with it! So come and enjoy and cast your burger ballot! Brews, soft drinks, waters and other beverages will be sold separately by the Broadway Sampler participants. While you're munching and making your best burger selection, you can enjoy live music on The Avenue stage, mascot and character appearances, and hourly giveaways, face painting, stilt walking balloon artists, a scavenger hunt and more!

When:

The event will begin at 11am, with judging by local celebrities ending at 4pm, but stick around and enjoy live music on the stage until 9pm!

Why?

What better way is there to show some love to our local community than by giving back? This event allows us to do just that as 50% of the Broadway Sampler sales will benefit the Boys & Girls Club Of The Grand Strand.

Where?

Burgers, Bites & Brews will be centrally located in the heart of Broadway at the Beach on The Avenue in between Hard Rock Café and Dave & Buster's! However, you can enjoy sidewalk sales throughout Broadway!

Who?

So who will you be sampling all this deliciousness from? Here's a sweet and savory list!

Dave & Buster's, Hard Rock Café, Wahlburgers, Liberty Brewery & Grill, Senor Frog's, American Tap House, Good Time Charley's, Johnny Rockets, Malibu's, Oz and Kilwins!

So now that you know the five W's of the three B's (Burgers, Bites & Brews), all that is left for you to do is make plans to join us on The Avenue and savor the flavors on Saturday, May 12th as we give back to The Boys & Girls Club of the Grand Strand! See you there!

A Parade, A Blizzard & A Very Broadway Christmas

It's the biggest, brightest and most anticipated event at Broadway at the Beach. It's the day we officially kick off the holiday season as families, friends and even a special guest from the North Pole gather together to celebrate the season of splendor and it all begins at the 3rd Annual A Very Broadway Christmas! So mark your calendars for Saturday, December 2nd!

The fun begins at 11 am as we launch the holiday season with the Ripley's Attractions Myrtle Beach Holiday Parade. The interior roadway of Broadway at the Beach will be the track for this exciting and fun procession that begins on the 21st Avenue North side near Pavilion Park West and ends just past Dave & Buster's, located on the 29th Avenue North side. Make memories with the kids as your favorite community businesses, local heroes and characters parade around Broadway!

At the conclusion of the parade, we have two places at Broadway for live entertainment and activities. From 1 pm to 4 pm, join us on The Avenue where there will be live music playing and lots of kids' activities, including train rides. Plus, you don't want to miss this year's Broadway Beach Ball Blizzard at 2 pm as we will drop mini white beach balls with the names of some of your Broadway spots. If you catch a ball, just head into that location and receive a special discount or prize! We will have two drops, one for the little ones and not so little ones! But remember, this is the season of holiday cheer and Santa will be watching, so one ball per patron!

Feel like dancing this first weekend in December? You can show off your best moves during the Ripley's Plaza Party also from 1 pm to 4 pm!

Getting hungry? You'll have just a bit of time to get something to eat before families start gathering by the stage near WonderWorks for Broadway's 23rd Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration.

The event begins at 6 pm on the Southwest corner of Broadway at the Beach. Hosted by WBTW's Chief Meteorologist Frank Johnson and news anchor Meghan Miller, the festivities will feature performances by Legends In Concert, Carolina Freestyle Cloggers and other entertainers.

"A Very Broadway Christmas" will wrap up as the skies come alive with a fireworks extravaganza sponsored by Helicopter Adventures over Lake Broadway at 8 pm.

It's the perfect way to get in the holiday spirit! So join us on December 2nd for Myrtle Beach's biggest holiday party.

Cars, Causes & Cooler Weather: Broadway’s October

Posted in Broadway at the Beach, Special Events

It's hard to believe, but October is here and with it comes lesser humidity, more pumpkin flavored options and new ways to experience fall at Broadway at the Beach!

From the classics to today's latest models, car enthusiasts will be revvin' their engines at not one, but two car shows at Broadway. On Saturday, October 7th, Broadway at the Beach will host the Coastal Carolina Mustang Club's 7th Annual Grand Strand Stampede. From 8am to 4pm, around 350 Ford Mustangs of yesteryear and today will be vying for bragging rights and awards. The following week, from October 12th through October 14th, Broadway at the Beach will host the Cruisin' the Beach car show also featuring a variety of vehicles. This three-day event features vendors, 50/50 ticket sales and awards! Both events are held in the overflow parking lots near Broadway movie theatre.

This October will also bring awareness to two charitable organizations at Broadway. All month long, Wet Willie's will feature their breast cancer awareness campaign, where a portion of pink drink sales will benefit the Susan G. Komen organization and on Friday, October 6th and Saturday, October 7th, Wet Willie's will hold their 7th Annual Koozies for Boobies Breast Cancer Awareness Party. For more information on this event, click here.

On Saturday, October 14th, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will hold an Out of Darkness Walk. With registration beginning at 10am and an opening ceremony at 11am at the Heroes Harbor stage near Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, this 1.5 mile walk through the villages of Broadway raises funds for suicide prevention in South Carolina and across the nation.

This October, along with their everyday rock memorabilia and delicious drink and eats options, Hard Rock Café will feature live music on various nights and every Saturday, you don't want to forget your dancing shoes as you enjoy Salsa Nights with DJ Alberto! Not an expert when it comes to salsa dancing? That's no problem as free dance lessons are available starting at 10pm!

Now we couldn't mention October without talking about Halloween! The Grand Strand's largest Halloween Bash will be held Saturday, October 28th along The Avenue at Broadway! It's the one night of the year where ghosts, zombies, superheroes, animals and movie stars roam around The Avenue (okay, not actual ghosts, superheroes and movie stars, but Halloween enthusiasts dressed up as them) all competing for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the annual costume contest! Whether you dress up or dress down, come and enjoy live music, entertainment and more all beginning at 7pm! For more information on this event, click here.

Although the Halloween Bash on The Avenue is geared more towards the adults, the little ones can enjoy two trick-or-treat events at Broadway, or, one trick-or-treat and one truck-or-treat! On Saturday, October 14th from 10am to 2pm, Broadway will once again host The Sun News' Truck-Or-Treat. This free community event will be held in the parking lot next to Landry's Seafood House and will feature an interactive experience for kids and their families to check out all kinds of trucks including emergency vehicles, big rigs and more all while receiving candies and other treats! Click here for information on this event.

On Halloween night, the little ones can enjoy trick-or-treating throughout Broadway from 4:30pm-6:30pm! After trick-or-treating, you'll want to stick around as we light up the sky with a Fireworks Extravaganza over Lake Broadway at 8pm!

As you can tell, October is a busy month at Broadway and we haven't even mentioned the Happy Hour specials and special game day menus of Liberty Brewery & Grill and the All You Can Eat Oyster Roasts at Original Shucker's! You'll just have to experience it all for yourself as you FALL back in love with Broadway all October long!
