South Carolina's Tax Free Weekend is schedule to begin tomorrow and continue through Sunday, August 4th at midnight. The tax free savings apply to the following categories:

• Computers, Computer Equipment & Computer Software
• Clothing & Apparel
• Footwear
• Accessories
• School & Art Supplies

In addition to saving 6% which is the South Carolina sales tax rate, many retail establishments will be offering additional savings through sales and special deals.

So let the Back-To-School shopping adventure begin for backpacks, lunch boxes, paper, pencils, crayons, clothes, shoes and everything needed to get the kids ready for the new school year! Oh No It's Swimwear Season!

Want to show off your toned physique? Backless styles and crochet are for you and will definitely make the right statement.

This weekend the state of South Carolina will offer a break in the state sales tax with the South Carolina Tax Free Holiday Weekend. This tax exempt period begins at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, August 3rd and continues through Sunday, August 5th at midnight. During the holiday the 6% state sales and use tax, and any applicable local sales and use tax, will not be imposed on clothing, clothing accessories (e.g., hats, scarves, hosiery, and handbags), footwear, school supplies (e.g., pens, pencils, paper, binders, notebooks, books, book bags, lunchboxes, and calculators), computers, printers and printer supplies, computer software, and bath wash clothes, blankets, bed spreads, bed linens, sheet sets, comforter sets, bath towels, shower curtains, bath rugs and mats, pillows, and pillow cases. All Broadway at the Beach merchants will be participating, and will not impose any and all applicable taxes on those items approved by the South Carolina Department of Revenue.
